Zoo Miami
Zoo Miami was opened in 1980 and covers the area of 300 hectares. It’s located in the suburbs of Miami, half an hour drive from the city. The total length of the route through the park is as much as five kilometers. It’s not necessary to walk all the way on foot – you can rent bicycles or strollers for the whole family, or take a ride on a road train. The zoo is divided into four zones inhabited by animals, and shows vegetation, adapted to the flora and fauna of the relevant part of the world – Asia, Australia, Amazon and Africa.
You can have a picnic there, feed the giraffes, and watch numerous shows. Of course, the infrastructure includes cafes, playgrounds and a petting zoo, attractions and camel rides. Miami Seaquarium
At the time of its opening in 1955, Miami Seaquarium was the largest aquarium in the world, and now it’s easy to spend the whole day there visiting fascinating shows and admiring sea creatures. Dolphins, killer whales, sharks, manatees, turtles, seals, alligators and stingrays are among the Seaquarium’s inhabitants. The main celebrity of the aquarium is dolphin Flipper, which is the hero of the same series. Also, every day killer whales, fur seals and dolphins appear on the stage of Miami Seaquarium.
For a fee, you can feed or swim with dolphins, fur seals, and penguins. The aquarium is actively involved in the rescue of endangered species of animals. Miami Seaquarium works daily from 10am till 6pm. A regular adult ticket costs $46.99, and a ticket for children 3–9 years old costs $36.99. Pay attention to seasonal offers. Thus, the Summer Savings Pass program is in effect – for just $58, you can purchase tickets to visit Zoo Miami, the Lion Safari Park, the Seaquarium and the Science Museum.
